Minimally invasive alternative to a traditional facelift.
Thread lifts are a minimally invasive alternative to the facelift for patients who are not ready to undergo more aggressive treatment options. Although the effects from a thread lift will be temporary and not as dramatic as a facelift, improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can be seen gradually as the procedure stimulates natural collagen production.
For the right candidate, the Thread Lift can provide a pleasing, natural rejuvenation of the face with the benefit of no general anesthesia, rapid recovery and very minimal cost compared to a facelift or a necklift. Thread Lift may be combined with other, more minor surgical procedures, such as Botox®, Injectable Fillers, microneedling, or skin resurfacing lasers.
Ideal candidates for thread lifts include:
Most popular treatment areas are the brows, cheeks (midface), jowls, and the upper neck. However, Thread Lift can be performed virtually anywhere on the body, such as to lift loose skin on the upper arms, stomach, thighs and around the knees.
Treatment times with PDO threads are quick! Typically the procedure lasts less than 10 minutes.
1-3 treatments are typically needed to see results.
Treatments are done about 4-6 weeks apart.
Any pain you feel after the procedure can be usually managed with acetaminophen (Tylenol) and/or ibuprofen (Advil). You may have mild swelling and bruising for few days. Icing the treated area as well as arnica is recommended for the first few days. We recommend avoiding strenuous activity for few days.
Results from a PDO thread lift typically last between 12-24 months.
Recovery is minimal after a PDO thread lift procedure. Most patients are able to resume normal activity within 1 week after treatment.
