What are Dermal Fillers?

A dermal filler is an injectable solution that fills the soft tissue under the skin. These fillers improve the appearance of aging, wrinkling and sagging skin. Dermal fillers are ideal for filling in creases and lines, plumping up the lips and cheeks, and enhancing your natural facial contours.

Dermal fillers are a minimally invasive option for adding lost volume, alter the contours of the face, and fill in wrinkles. Fillers are commonly injected into the face, neck, and hands, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

FAQs

Am I a good candidate for this treatment?

With today’s dermal fillers and injectables, we are able to treat most superficial and deep lines and wrinkles. Most men and women are good candidates, but we do recommend getting a consultation to discuss your concerns and your desired final results with our group of expert injectors.

Will it be painful?

There may be a slight discomfort while the filler is being injected.

How long will the results last and are they permanent?

The duration of your dermal fillers and injectables treatment will vary significantly depending on the type of injectable treatment you receive. Some injectables produce results that last only a few months, while others produce results that can last for a few years or longer.

Is there any downtime required?

Dermal fillers have the significant benefit of requiring practically no downtime, meaning that you can return to your usual activities immediately following your treatment.

Do I need to do anything after my treatment?

There are a few things you’ll want to avoid after treatment. This includes working out, sauna, jacuzzi, cigarettes, alcohol, caffeine and even spicy foods for the first 48 hours after your treatment. These substances can increase swelling and skin irritation, causing discomfort and perhaps even affecting your results.
